Desert Horizons Country Club has had a storied and successful
maturing since its beginning in 1979. Over the years, many updates and upgrades have been made to the community to make it more modern, green, and accessible. However, no undertaking thus far has been as significant and impactful to the vision of Desert Horizons as the renovation that is currently underway.

In 2021, Desert Horizons members voted to completely renovate the clubhouse and community amenities to create new hubs of energy and exciting new gathering spaces for residents. At the center, a completely renovated clubhouse with 40,000 square feet of space dedicated to delivering world-class social, dining, and fitness experiences. This includes new locker rooms, a new pro shop, and flexible event spaces, as well as new options for both casual and elegant dining.

One of the most anticipated additions is a new state-of-the-art fitness and wellness center featuring 8,000 square feet of space dedicated to cardio and weight training, group classes, and wellness services. This new center is being added as a second story on the clubhouse, and will showcase beautiful landscape views of the Coachella Valley.

Another exciting addition is the new Desert Horizons Courts Pavilion. Members will enjoy 7 dedicated pickle ball courts, 3 tennis courts, a viewing deck, new bathrooms and a small bar that will serve beverages and grab-and-go food items.

Funds were also earmarked for a refreshed community entry off Highway 111 and new community signage, as well as landscaping improvements. The project is slated for completion in late 2023.

The new designs have a desert modern theme — drawing from the area’s mid-century roots, but giving it a new modern sensibility. It provides a distinctive new backdrop to a community that is already grounded in history and yet still very much one-of-a-kind.
